The Origin
Founder of Threat Entertainment, Mattx, has been managing bands and working in the music industry as an independent promoter as well as a talent buyer for venues in Missouri and Arizona for two and a half decades.
The name Threat comes from a previous tagline he used “Threatening You with A Good Time Since 1999” , the date referring to when he began working in the industry and a the rest as a tongue in cheek way of reflecting on how the business was much more competitive, confrontational and cut throat than today’s industry is.
Over these years, Mattx has maintained a focus on producing events and live experiences to be more than just a few bands playing in the same place at the same time. Being selective about quality venues featuring lineups that would allow the event’s participants to stay engaged and excited from doors until the end of the show has always been the nature of his event curation.
Those standards have carried over into the expectations of artists being developed along the way, with a focus on the fans and an effort to make sure each concert was well thought out and themed to be unique.
The Ethos
Fans are more than just ticket buyers or streaming data. They are the lifeblood of any artist’s success story and if an artist is lucky enough to develop a genuine fanbase through their art, those fans deserve to be respected and served the best possible experiences, interactions and product.
This is Threat Entertainment’s guiding principle and the mandate it has for the artists it works with.
While the Threat Entertainment brand name is new, the workflow and expectations remain the same. To develop remarkable artists in a genuine way to potential fans around the world and provide quality experiences worthy of every fan’s hard earned money.
