BIOGRAPHY

The Tao, as it manifests in the world, is like bending a bow. The top is bent downward, while the bottom is bent upward. It adjusts for excess and deficiency, achieving perfect balance. Justin Young perceives the spaces between these elements. Throughout his musical career, he has dedicated himself to understanding these spaces. His music has resonated with people, evoking a range of emotions—sadness, anger, joy, and even a sense of fulfillment. It’s not necessarily negative; it’s simply a lot to take in. However, the music he creates ultimately helps people confront and process emotions they may have suppressed but needed to express. Recognizing one’s desires and needs is crucial. That’s the essence of Meyer Pax.

The name Meyer Pax refers to a mispronunciation of “mirepoix,” the base of making a soup, with the notion that it can be used to create various dishes. This particular recipe falls under the genre that Young identifies as Taoist Emo. It captures the raw emotional experiences of stumbling through life, coupled with the hope of personal growth and accountability.

Meyer Pax has been painstakingly crafting a purpose for his debut, full-length album, titled “The In Betweens.” The album’s title reflects the struggle of experiencing the highs and lows of life and accepting that it’s okay to be in the middle—not where you wanted but further than where you started. The album will be out by the end of 2026/early 2027, with more exciting releases that fall in between to keep you hooked.
